Evidently this issue shows up for Windows clients, but not for Linux
clients.  I complained about the problem to my web hosting service, but they
could not reproduce it because their workstations were all running Linux. 
(I'm running WinXP on my PC.)  After they found a machine running Windows,
they were able to reproduce the problem.  Now I'm wondering whether the same
root cause is also responsible for the error message "There are no
browseable address books"  whenever I try to delete an Address Book entry or
add it to a Contact List.
