This continues to be a problem for a number of people. I'd very much like
to help the developers solve this problem. To that end, I'm including
information about our current environment to see if a common thread can be
found:

We're running Cyrus 2.2.12, PHP Version: 5.1.2, Horde Horde: 3.1.3, and
IMP 4.1.3.

What appears to be happening is that the message is attempting to be
expunged _before_ being marked deleted. I managed to patch this behavior
so that 'Empty Trash' works properly, but I have yet to work up a solution
for deleting individual messages from the trash folder.
