[horde] Sidebar empty in CVS release

To test the syncml functionality with ssl I am trying to switch from a  
stable release installation to a cvs install.

I re-installed php, pear and all necessary components.  
install-packages.php runs succesfully.

.../horde/test.php says all is ok. Doing a first login (no questions  
asked offcourse since it's the first admin login) gives me an empty  
sidebar, so I can't configure anything.

Has anyone come accross this?

Switching back to stable release works fine again on the new php stack.
