Message-ID: <45744A29.1020407@uni-konstanz.de> Hello, still testing Horde 3.1.2 and Imp H3 4.1.2. In the Horde "Menu Settings", I have activated the "Should we display the about link in the help menu?" option; hence, I've got > $conf['menu']['links']['help_about'] = true; in my horde/config/conf.php, and accordingly, there is an "About..." link, in every help window, refering to . However, whenever I klick on that link, I get an empty window, the HTML source reading > > > > > > > Webmail-Test :: Help > > > > > > What is that "About..." link supposed to refer to? What am I doing wrong? Thank you for any hint. In-Reply-To: <006b01c7172f$c66c3330$4900a8c0@ziniosnb> Message-ID: I am currently using Horde (IMP) to read email but have not figured out how to integrate, if at all possible, Maia (white/black lists and management of) on Horde/IMP/SAM as well as have "report as spam" working. Given the popularity of Horde and Maia, I am certain that I am not the only person using both Maia and Horde. Problem is that I've tried to modify the backends.php file within SAM and have been unsucessful. Has anyone else tried this? I've CC'ed one of the Maia Authors, Robert LeBlanc, who has expressed interest in getting this working. Aside from having to rewrite all of his PHP to use the Horde Framework, is their any other way, like perhaps describing what is done in his sql tables and how Horde can be configured to use the Maia DB? Thanks, and I hope I am not offending anyone with this question and/or crosspost. .vp From jan at horde.org Mon Dec 4 09:55:20 2006 From: jan at horde.org (Jan Schneider) Date: Mon, 04 Dec 2006 18:55:20 +0100 Subject: [horde] What about "About"? Message-ID: <457498D9.5010307@endries.org> Hello, I'm upgrading my Horde install from 3.0 to 3.1, so I ran the upgrade on a test machine to make sure data wouldn't be lost, etc.. The history migration script was still going after three days (!) so I just canceled it. That is simply unacceptable down time for me, so I rewrote the script to be faster. For my database my new script is over 3000 times as fast and, AFAICT, runs the same queries and doesn't lose data or do anything different (other than the PHP logic). I'm posting here to hopefully have more eyes spot problems or, if not, so others can use it. I'm not guaranteeing that it's DB-agnostic, but the only trouble query is probably the multi-table delete at the bottom. I'm also not super familiar with Horde so it may have problems that lose data or make things unusable, hopefully someone smarter can figure that out. Please let me know what you think. If there are problems, let me know and I'll see if I can fix them without killing the speed. :) I will most likely run this on my production database this weekend, after another round of post-upgrade tests. Report as Spam can be configured to call a hook function; that should take care of that with a bit of coding (I've been meaning to look at Maia but haven't yet, so I'm not sure what exactly would be involved. For blacklist/whitelist, you can provide alternate implementations of those API calls. Again, I'm not sure what you'd need on the Maia end for that, but on the Horde end, you'd just need a mini-horde app (no need for a UI even, really) that provided the following api calls: mail/blacklistFrom, mail/showBlacklist, mail/whitelistFrom, and mail/showWhitelist. You'd need a registry.php entry, a lib/api.php file with implementations of those functions, and a stub conf.php file. -chuck -- "we are plastered to the windshield of the bus that is time." - Chris From chuck at horde.org Tue Dec 5 10:58:36 2006 From: chuck at horde.org (Chuck Hagenbuch) Date: Tue, 05 Dec 2006 13:58:36 -0500 Subject: [horde] Unable To Create New AddressBook In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <20061205135836.j8zpjvf98g84w0co@technest.org> Quoting Vadim Pushkin : > I am getting the following error whenever I try to create a new addressbook: > > Notice: Undefined variable: share in > /var/www/html/horde/turba/addressbooks.php on line 42 > > Fatal error: Call to a member function getMessage() on a non-object > in /var/www/html/horde/turba/addressbooks.php on line 42 > > Then, when I go into email, the following errors appears: > > There was an error creating this address book: The address book > "Personal Address Books" does not exist. > > I am not using IMSP, and I do have 'use_shares' => true, for my one > and only mysql table. > > Any ideas? It would be nice to know why it works with any other database name/user/pw that horde, but oh well. Do you use MySQL, If so did you have problems creating the table horde_session_handler? I also had the frame issue, that I got to by editing the conf.php file and setting: $conf ['menu']['links']['always'] = true; The other issue was to manually load the URL http://your.server.name/horde/admin/setup/config.php I got the config screen and all sort of worked. After proving that I could get real screens up I blew the whole thing away and started over. It then worked just like the manual, I'm still a bit confused over that. Also, when logging back in, I only have to click on 'login' to get back in... kind of pointless, really... and it has a box to select the language even though I have selected my default it in the options area. I have viewed a bunch of conf files in the config directory and they all read '0' for the session value. The explanation states that this value should only expire my session if I close my browser. Everything is fine, except for a very slowness problem. When I spend around 25 seconds to open an Email folder with around 5000 messages and 140MB in total size, then I click "New Message" button it take at least 12 seconds(still acceptable) to load the composition page. What really annoying is that when I click "Cancel Message" or "Save Draft" at this moment it would take at least 1.5 minutes or 2 minutes to return to my previous folder, so it take at around 3-4 times longer compared to openning the same mail folder in normal case. Would it be some bugs in the "Cancel Message" or "Save Draft" button of "New Message" page that introduce this serious performance problem? regards, Frankie From Otto.Stolz at uni-konstanz.de Fri Dec 8 01:45:53 2006 From: Otto.Stolz at uni-konstanz.de (Otto Stolz) Date: Fri, 08 Dec 2006 10:45:53 +0100 Subject: [horde] Adding permissions In-Reply-To: <20061207115409.fg6lks4yo0ssggck@portal.theupstairsroom.com> References: <4576FF2C.6060504@northwestern.edu> <20061206190456.rr1rbpbyg4gg8sk4@technest.org> <45784377.4080901@northwestern.edu> <20061207115409.fg6lks4yo0ssggck@portal.theupstairsroom.com> Message-ID: <45793451.6060503@uni-konstanz.de> Hello, in the Turba list, Michael Rubinsky has written: > Administration->permissions > > Add new permissions for Address Book(turba), then sources, then for the > individual source. I just started going through the same thing. What I have done, is installed the new version on another server, have users login to the old version, do an export of address books, calendars, notes (just take defaults on all) then import the resulting .csv files into the new version. My next step is to move this data over to a new mail server when it comes in. Dont know if this helps, but I couldnt think of another way.
