[imp] RFC822 problem

I hope you're talking about imp 2.3.7 and not 1.3.7! ;-)
To run imp cvs you need a recent php version, I think at least 4.0.5.
If you already have this version installed, your problem is that php can't find 
the pear directory. Make sure pear is installed in a directory accessible to 
your web server and that the include path for php contains this directory.
