[imp] last login in CVS HEAD.....

I am having problems with CVS HEAD (of horde and imp) and the last login
feature when logging in.  I can sucessfully modify/save options to my
backend (mysql) but for some reason the last login never updates.  It
always says 

Last login: Never  

I know my backend is working correctly because I can modify options, log
out, then log back in and the option is set correctly.  If anyone has
ideas about why this is happening I would appreciate any help.
