Hi Leo,
I had the same...is your xinetd service running and do you have the imap
service running or rather

service imap
{
        disable = no
        socket_type             = stream
        wait                    = no
        user                    = root
        server                  = /usr/sbin/imapd
        log_on_success  += HOST DURATION
        log_on_failure  += HOST
}

foo#fuser 143/tcp this should come back with an answer..
143/tcp:             12938

I'm getting the above error message when I try to access horde preferences
in MySQL. I've installed twice before and both installs are still working,
so I'm reasonably confident that the steps I'm following are pretty close.

So either I've accidently misconfigured something, which I cannot find - In
that case I'm hoping a fresh set of eyes can tell me what I've done wrong -
or -
on this particular configuration I'm using something that isn't compatible
(which is entirly possible since the previous installs were on two different
versions of RedHat)

Things of note:
RedHat 8.0
Apache 2.0.40
MySQL 3.23.53
Pear 1.0.1
Horde 2.1
Imp 3.1
Turba 1.1
Passwd 2.1
PHP 4.2.2

Everything is good on the horde/test.php screen except MCAL and Mcrypt

If I set (horde.php) $conf['prefs']['driver'] = to either 'session' or ''
IMP works, but of course turba does not.

Any thoughts?

Hello.... Having a bit of a problem here, and it has got me stumped.

I have got horde up and running, and trying to get imp up as well. Everytime

I bring up the imp login page (login.php), the page only half renders,
coming up with errors and showing php code instead of the normal login text.

Here are some details
Horde allows me to login just fine. The problems only occur with the imp
login page.

My httpd error log shows this everytime the imp login page is hit...

[Wed Jan 29 16:19:50 2003] [error] [client 205.229.151.xxx] File does not
exist: /var/www/html/mail.xxxxxx.net/horde/imp/<, referer:
http://mail.xxxxxx.net/horde/imp/login.php

I am using the latest version of horde (2.2) with imp (3.1) running on
redhat 8.0. Neither redhat, horde, nor imp is tweaked at all.

The only thing I notice that is interesting, is that the imp test.php does
not show a version number when viewed through a browser. Other than that,
all necessary tests pass.

Thanks for all your help
Wang

The patch below separates the delivery confirmation conand read receipt
requests in the compose window. I also added a section to preferences to
specify default behavior. Note, the Honor read receipts functionality isn't
complete yet.

I think the compose.inc could probably be done cleaner. If anyone has any
ideas, please post.

Nevertheless I installed adaware and cleaned removed SpySoftwares.

Hello,

I had this annoying problem during fall and tried to submit it as a bug, but
no
one else seemed to get the same error, and Chuck tried to help me out by
cleaning and resetting session etc but nothing helped (Bug 1022).

I solved it this way:

in imp/templates/login/login.php (an extract, (look at line 5,6):

<form action="<?php echo Horde::applicationUrl('redirect.php') ?>"
method="post" name="implogin">
<input type="hidden" name="actionID" value="<?php echo $actionID ?>" />
<input type="hidden" name="url" value="<?php
//echo htmlspecialchars(Horde::getFormData('url'))
//echo htmlspecialchars($GLOBALS['url']);
?>" />
<input type="hidden" name="mailbox" value="<?php echo $prefs->getValue
('mailbox') ?>" />
<input type="hidden" name="frameset" value="" />
<?php
$args = IMP::getComposeArgs('array'); foreach ($args as $arg => $value): ?>
<input type="hidden" name="<?php echo htmlspecialchars($arg) ?>"
value="<?php
echo htmlspecialchars($value) ?>" />
<?php endforeach; ?>

I don't know all the consequenses this hack gives, but I have no problem
with
the login screen, that's for sure.
