[kronolith] timezone settings for reminders

Hi all,
I have the problem that my server is not in my own
timezone, which causes problems with the reminders
script.  My server is in PST(California) while I am in
EST (Montreal, Canada). 

How do I configure kronolith (or Horde) so taht it
either uses GMT or trick it to change the timezone? 
The date functions in Horde "Assumes that the dates
are in the same timezone).
