thanks, that worked. I guess i wasn't paying attention when i was adding
the DB prefs for that table in config.conf :-)

btw, i have that same problem with the date being way off:
"Mon 18 Jan 2038 07:14:07 PM PST" 
the time is offset by 3 hours as well.
