Status: NEW
Resolution:
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: Turba
Area: BUILD
AssignedTo: chuck@horde.org

Summary: LDAP field translation not seem to be quite tickety-boo.

I've set up my own little LDAP server to try to collate all my addresses /
emails / phone numbers in a way that can be accessed via a standard protocol
(i.e. LDAP) and also such that all my emailers that I use can get at the
details. I've had lots of "fun" trying to match the keywords with the MS and
Netscape suggested attribute names (MS don't even publish their list), and I've
just about got them nailed, but I'm having trouble with the turba <-> LDAP
interface. Does anyone there have a suitable attributes.php or source.php which
would give me a good start on this ? I'm also having trouble with multiline
parts (i.e. addresses / notes / comments / descriptions) and I just would like
to see if it's working fine.

If there's someone out there who can help, I don't mind getting my hands dirty
on the code to get these bits working and enhancing it to (perhaps even) create
a utility to create / amend the attributes.php / source.php such that less work
is required. (I do C++,C, Perl on unix for a living btw, so PHP shouldn't be
too much of a step)

Cheers,

Rich.
