  alright, can you provide an exact sequence of events to reproduce this? trash
  settings, number of messages in mailbox, hide_deleted setting, etc.

+ I found the cause of the problem, the user had set in his preferences to use a 
+ trash folder, but our POP3 server does not support folders. So, the POP3 server
