  I am not an active developper, I just patched my local code and tested this. I 
  thought that someone would just test what I've done and submit it to the tree. 
  This bug still exists in the public code. What should be done?

+ I can't say if we will backport our solution in the HEAD branch to the stable
+ (RELENG) branch. Definitely not before Turba 1.2.
+ For now all you can do is to upgrade to CVS HEAD versions.
