User Name and Password Remains at Login Screen
Comment by alondarvish at yahoo.com on Tue Apr 13 10:30:04 2004 (today):
I'm just a common user that did a little researching on how to find you.
Currently, I'm hosted with BlueHost.com, which uses Hordes interface for
webmail.
I may have found a bug which I'm very concerned with. Once I log into
hordes webmail interface to view my messages, after logging out, the user
name and password remains in the login screen. Therefore, anyone can access
my email from the workstation i used to view my email. Additionally, they
may also scroll through the address bar at the top of Internet Explorer and
and view messages that I have recently viewed, unless I go into Internet
Options and delete the history so that nothing appears.
I'm concerned because this poses a very big security issue, especially for
companies that have sensitive data that can't be compromised. Just thought
I'd let you know.
Hope you guys can do something about it and get back to me. Like I said,
you might want to contact www.BlueHost.com regarding this issue as well
because I addressed it to them today.
