Please don't mix things. The cookies I mentioned have nothing to do with the
name and password being saved for the login form.

and server side solutions for your problem. You may also want to take a look
at the IMP and/or Horde mailing list archive, where this topic has been
discussed in endless threads and where you will also find an answer why we
don't disable this by default.
