Please ignore the previous request for support.

I just found why the attachments are greyed out.
I had a look in the option for Outlook Express.

Under Tools/Options/Security:
There is a tick/check box marked "DO NOT ALLOW ATTACHMENTS TO BE
SAVED/OPENED THAT MAY CONTAIN A VIRUS". If you untick the box, the e-mail
attachment is visible. It's because the file type is a .tif file as opposed
to a .jpg or .jpeg file and therefore blocked as a possible virus.
