I am running courier imap server (not sure if this matters, have not tried
others). When trying to create new folders, IMP defaults to creating new
root folders which the imap server does not allow. It only allows creating
subfolders under INBOX. ex: INBOX.Trash, INBOX.Spam, etc.
Therefore, when creating a new folder, you must always check the box next to
inbox before selecting "Create Folder" from the select box. Otherwise, the
server responds:

The folder "asdf" was not created. This is what the server said: Invalid
mailbox name.

This is a simple fix (always check the INBOX before creating a new folder)
but this is not intuitive at all, and the error message returned by the imap
server is misleading. I seriously doubt many users would realize what the
real problem is. I realize that this is not the fault of horde/imp but an
option to always have the inbox checked when creating new folders would
eliminate this problem.

Thanks.
