David - do you have inline html turned off by default?  This would affect
viewing as the message is sent in text/html format (necessary to view
inline).

As far as the SPAM stuff goes... I might go ahead an implement as a
multipart/alternative part instead.  The HTML text will stay the same, but
the text portion of the alternative part would say something like "You need
an Mail User Agent that allows you to view multipart/related parts to view
this message correctly."
