In the latest HEAD of Whups, 20040913, I have run into a similar problem;
except that when I create a queue, I cannot select clients at all. The
selection box is empty. 

What other effects does disabling "provides clients" have? Are there any
"drawbacks". It'd be nice to get Whups working properly here.
