If one address fails to be expanded in a compose window field, no addresses
are exanded and webmail does not report which addresses have failed to be
expanded. It is far more intuitive for webmail to expand all addresses that
it can, and then report "The following addresses could not be expanded: ..."
or "Invalid To: field, unable to expand" in no addresses can be expanded.
