For the first time since I opened this bug, I was able to update from CVS
HEAD. It's now working correctly. I'm not sure what happened; I updated
twice before filing the bug...maybe I missed a file that needed to be
updated, or maybe my framework installation didn't take. I don't know, but
at any rate, sorry for the noise and wasted time.
