I tryed to reproduce this, but failed. I downloaded your file and had no
problem to open it (20 kb), I attached the file to an mail and could open
the attachment (20 kb). After sending the mail I was still able to open the
document (20 kb). I used openoffice to open it.

My system:

imp 4.0.3
Mime Magic Support enabled
