My CoLo just switched from IMP, which had a two-tier deletion scheme: Flag
for delete, then click EXPUNGE. Much more effiriciant way of doing things.
Allows for double-checking AND it never deleted messages that were not
checked!

This is probably not much of a problem for those that don't get much email.
But for me, who has gotten on millions of SPAM lists, I get several messages
trickling in every few minutes. I have lost more than a few real messages by
flagging SPAM for deletion, then having a new message come in which somehow 
"changes the delete cue" and deletes messages that WERE NOT checked for
deletion.
