I guess you're not getting the wierd characters like we are getting but I
don't quite understand that you said "It fails to update the text" and then
say "It works just fine".

Maybe someone else could try on a Redhat or Fedora system - all versions
except rawhide use the same aspell rpm.  I'll try to test again on a vanilla
Centos system when I have the chance.
