I was tempted to do that, but we often don't have the right information to
display a meaningful error.  We would have to look up the contact name in
most cases since we aren't provided with it (we only get the object key).

Do the partial errors messages sound ok?  Eg:

"Error adding %d of %d of requested contacts"
