The FREE state addresses whether or not the event takes up time when someone
queries your schedule. However, it still requires that you fill in time
related elements for an event. I was looking for a toggle, that essentially
turns a timed event, into a simple labeled occurence. The event object
becomes a very simple entry, with just a date and a name, which means that a
user doesn't have to be bothered with switching the status to Free, and
setting the event to all-day. On the UI, this would have the effect of
adding a No Time option to the start time.
My cue for this is a user suggestion, and I believe their cue for it is
their Palm handheld, which has a No-Time option.
