It seems there's a problem in UI/VarRenderer/html.php in the 3.0.8 framework
that causes select fields to have no name (name=""), which breaks the config
generator with "There was an error in the configuration form. Perhaps you
left out a required field."

I've included a patch.
(replace $varname with $var->getVarName())
