This message is *not* RFC compliant.  "8-bit" is not a valid encoding
("8bit" is).  Therefore, out IMAP processing library doesn not recognize the
encoding and, per RFC, labels the message as application/octet-stream.

Other mailers are more lax or workaround this mistake.  2 reasons we won't:
1.) we can't - the code used to parse messages is in the c-client library
which we have no control over, and 2.) quite honestly, the _vast_ majority
of malformed messages like this are from spammers so we aren't missing
anything by not trying to work around this issue.
