I'm sorry, you are right, the Turba's  "Name format" prefs was:

"no formatting"

Thas is a new value for this option since the last version of Turba I was
working with (with only the last-first and first-last options).
I'm selected any of last-first or first-last and the contact list has been
sorted as it must be.
