try once more.  I am stumped more on where in the code the IMP_Mailbox::
object is being created before the sort pref is changed - since I can
*never* reproduce what you are describing.  and there is nothing in
mailbox.php before the 'change_sort' block that creates an IMP_Mailbox
object that I can see.
