i use the latest stable versions from horde 3.1.1, imp 4.1.1, turba 2.1.1
(in turba i can work with umlauts without a problem)

self-compiled php 4.4.2 with gettext 0.14.4, mysql 4.1.1 (with latin1) on
debian sarge

i tried it also on another machine with php 4.3.10 with gettext 0.10.40.
system debian woody. same problem
