This is the important bit of information. Apache/PHP should never
segfault, this is always a bug in PHP unless the triggering PHP code
enters an infitine loop.
You can probably help finding that bug by tracing the coder further down
to see where exactly the server segfaults. You should also try a newer PHP
version.
