It happens when I call the install-packages.php script.

My pear version is:
pear -V
PEAR Version: 1.4.9
PHP Version: 4.4.4
Zend Engine Version: 1.3.0
Running on: SunOS webmail01 5.9 Generic_118558-11 sun4u
