I have the same problem on my webmail IMP, I want logon (from PC) using
IMP and (from Mobile) using MIMP, and I solved my problem just editing the
 MIMP/conf/conf.php.
My horde is configured with $conf['auth']['params']['app'] = 'imp'; IMP
makes the authentication, then I edit MIMP/conf/conf.php and put that
line:

$conf['auth']['params']['app'] = 'mimp';

When someone try to logon by my MIMP url then that variable turn MIMP my
auth application.
