I've seen similar behavior before - IIRC someone once reported a problem
where their IMAP server advertised it supported the CHILDREN flag, but the
children flag was not set properly on folders with children.  Similar to
your issue, we have to trust what your IMAP server (and c-client) is
telling us.  And garbage in = garbage out.
