Using Turba: H3 (2.1.3) and Imp: H3 (4.1.3) from Groupware (RC2) Webmail. 


Step to reproduce:
1) Create a contact list with two addreses in it (CL1)
2) Create new email and put an email address in the TO: field and the
Contact List in the CC field.
3) Send message and you should get "There was an error sending your
message: Group name did not validate."

Combinations tested:

TO:                CC:               Result:
email addr         Contact List      Error
Contact List       email addr        Success
email addr, CL     <blank>           Error
CL, email addr     <blank>           Success
<blank>            CL                Success
CL1, CL2            <blank>          Success
