I agree. This is a very silly usage of calendars and is calling for all
sorts of problems. Most important, it doesn't make sense to use free/busy
at all, if all events are in a single global calendar, accessible by
everyone.
I see how this might be necessary in your certain case, but I consider
this usage very uncommon, if not broken. We can leave the patch attached,
just in case anyone else will ever need such a feature.
