Understand that VFS quotas are possibly *very* resource intensive.  If you
are accessing a filesystem with hundreds/thousands of files/directories,
it will take a long time to determine quota (even worse if it is over a
network link).  If this is happening to you, then most likely you can't
use quotas on your system.
