Failed to send data [SMTP: Invalid response code received from server

This message is correct and and important information for the user.
But if there are more then one recipient, no message is displayed in this
case.

Example:
recipient:   unkownuser at mydomain.de  => SMTP error code 503 - correct!
recipients: unkownuser at mydomain.de, knownuser at mydomain   => no error code,
seemed to worked => NOT correct!!!
