the attached small patch enables IMP to fetch Pop3 Messages over TLS  
with a self-signed certificate in the chain.

Additionally - the "imp.reg" file can be enhanced by changing the  
default line that calls "iexplore.exe" to:

Rundll32.exe Url.dll,FileProtocolHandler  
_the_server_/imp/?actionID=login_compose&to="%L"

This calls the default Browser set for the HTTP / HTTPS Protocol  
handler. The same applies to Turba as well.
