For the record for those who might find this in future;

In turba/config/attributes.php - ensure the emails attribute is set up  
and allows multiple entries as per the .dist file

in turba/config/sources.php

- ensure your 'email' source field is replaced with an 'emails' source  
field pointing at the right place.

Then ensure the tabs array points at 'emails' rather than the 'email'  
field and that the 'search' parameter also points at emails.
