The providors of my hosting service (freevirtualservers.com formerly  
diyhost.co.uk) advise me that is is version 3.1 Horde they currently  
make available to users such as myself.  I can confirm that HTML  
composition still does not work when using IE8.  I can further confirm  
that in Mail Composition options I do have the "Compose messages with  
an HTML GUI by default (if browser supports the feature)" option  
checked.  Peter
