It seems that files are transcoded to utf-8 on the base of a wrong encoding.
This has consequences on imp that can't create the "Sent" folder  
("Can't create mailbox name
  with 8-bit character" error message) in  
French versions because of the unreadable "Envoyé" translation. That  
bug was reported at http://forum.ovh.com/showthread.php?t=15882&page=6.
