I tried patch-horde-3.3.6-3.3.7 with the following Command:

zmore ../patch-horde-3.3.6-3.3.7.gz | patch  -p1 --ignore-whitespace  
--dry-run 1>patch.log 2>&1

but I got many error messages "hunks FAILED" .

In every case the problem was the dateformat in CVS-Comments.
For instance my horde/config/conf.xml looks like

put patch expects

Same error I got with patch-turba-h3-2.3.3-h3-2.3.4.gz
and other Horde-Project.
