creating folder with a . in the folder name will create subfolders, e.g.

folder name 12.34.56

creates
12
   +- 34
      +- 56

an so on.

Ending with a . creates a folder without a name, which can´t be  
selected in the folder tree (can´t remember if navigation tree oder  
folder administration tree, perhaps both).
