It means that new message polling and notification in IMP is done in  
IMP internally with custom code. It also works in the traditional  
interface only. In the future we should use the Horde_Alarm framework  
for that, i.e. implement a listAlarms() method in IMP's API to poll  
the to-be-polled folders for new messages and raise alarms for those.  
This way you will get notifications of new messages in any  
application, in any interface mode.
