I'm 95% sure, because this always coincides with an AS request. BUT it  
doesn't happen with *all* requests (anymore). The question is not why  
IMP is being called though, I'm pretty sure that this is coming from  
the new mail notification decorator.
The question is, what happens to the password, and why is it not  
passed to IMP?
