This is a somewhat big issue for those of us that use imp  
authentication (not really the point of this bug, but going to mention  
anyway).  Every AS request causes IMP to initialize and create its  
session information.

An alternative would be to use imap authentication in horde and  
hordeauth in IMP.  But this is not optimal at the moment because two  
separate IMAP connections will be made - one in IMAP auth and one in  
IMP.
