when i open the categorie preferences to delete a category or change  
the color the menu is no longer available in the sidebar (only message  
"Loading..."), also clicking on trash icon doesn't do anything nothing  
happens, the same thing when clicking on the color chooser, nothing  
happened. the only message in log files i found is:
