No. This is **completely** unacceptable.  This is EXACTLY the concerns  
I raised when I said our release process was moving forward too  
quickly. And I was told that backward compatibility would not be an  
issue for minor releases that fix major bugs.

This cannot happen.  This makes the entire packaging system worthless.  
  I will not go through another round of releases where we can't move  
forward because of BC.  That is ridiculous.

If that is not the case, then there will be no IMP 5.1.  I will begin  
work on IMP 6 immediately with the expectation that it will be  
released next month.
