I don't see this.  If I click on delete message in the message view,  
and "Return to mailbox" pref is false, I return to the same message  
(which has been marked as deleted).  This is expected.  If I then go  
to the mailbox view, the message does not appear.

If "Return to mailbox pref is true", when deleting a message I am  
immediately returned to the mailbox and the message does not appear.
